Pixie is a sweet senior in need of a loving home.   She is approx. 10 years old, weighs 11 pounds, does well with other dogs and is as sweet as they come.

Pixie was surrendered to a local Humane Society when her owner was no longer able to care for her needs.   During her intake exam it was discovered that she needed a dental and surgery to remove bladder stones.  The surgeries went well and she is now ready to settle into her forever home.    Pixie's bladder stones were sent to the lab for analysis and it was determined  that she will  have to remain on a prescription  diet for life.  Science Diet C/D Multicare Urinary Care Prescription Diet is  available from Chewy.com (with prescription) for $33 for an 8.5 pound bag of kibble which will probably last her a month and a half, if not more. The food is also available at most vets . She is not allowed any commercial treats or any other food. At the vets suggestion, her foster mom bought a can of the prescription diet food and made little meatballs that she uses for treats. 

Pixie would love a forever home where her alone time is minimal.  She loves her doxie foster brothers and would like to have a companion pup.  W hen  Pixie wants to play she will nibble at her foster siblings legs to get them in play mode, so a companion pup would have to tolerate her unique motivational skills :)   Pixies dietary restrictions may be a little tricky for a  home with multiple  dogs.  She would have to be fed separately as she is a food hound and will try to get to the others bowls.

Pixie loves being outdoors........a fenced in yard is a bonus but not a deal breaker as long as her new family enjoys the outdoors and walking.
